Sophos Power over Ethernet (PoE) Injectors
Sophos PoE Injectors are essential accessories used to power compatible Sophos Access Points (AP) and other IP devices (like IP cameras or phones) when a PoE-enabled switch port is unavailable. They allow you to safely inject power directly into the Ethernet cable, enabling devices to be placed far from traditional power outlets.
We stock officially certified Sophos PoE Injectors designed for optimal compatibility and power delivery to all current and legacy Access Points and network devices, ensuring maximum network stability and preventing under-powering issues.
PoE Injectors: Key Features and Compatibility
- Wide Compatibility: Works with all Sophos Access Point models (APX, AP, and AP6 series) requiring standard PoE or PoE+.
- Guaranteed Power Output: Ensures the correct power delivery to maintain optimal performance and connectivity of your Access Points.
- Non-PoE Switch Solution: Enables older or non-PoE network switches to successfully power wireless devices.
- Simple Installation: Easy plug-and-play setup between your switch, the injector, and the end device.

PoE Injectors: Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I know if I need a PoE Injector?
A: You need a PoE Injector if you are powering a device like a Sophos Access Point but are connecting it to a network switch or firewall port that does not provide Power over Ethernet. If your switch is already PoE-enabled, an injector is not required.
Q: Is there a difference between a PoE and PoE+ injector?
A: Yes. PoE+ (802.3at) provides more power (up to 30W) than standard PoE (802.3af). Larger or high-density Access Points, like some AP6 models, require the increased wattage of a PoE+ injector for full functionality. We ensure you order the correct type for your hardware.
Q: Can these injectors be used with XGS Firewalls?
A: Yes. While some XGS Firewalls have optional PoE modules (FleXi Ports), if you are using a standard XGS port to connect a single Access Point, a dedicated Sophos PoE Injector is the most common and simple way to provide power.
