A: No. If you own the "DPA for Virtualized Environments" bundle, the VM option is already included. This product is only for those who bought the "Physical" license + the "VM Option" add-on separately.
Q: Can I drop this if I moved back to physical hardware?
A: Yes. If you migrated the database to a bare-metal server, you no longer need the VM Option. You can simply renew the base DPA license.
Q: Does it work with Nutanix AHV?
A: While DPA focuses on VMware and Hyper-V, SolarWinds Virtualization Manager (VMAN) provides deeper Nutanix support. Contact us to discuss the best mix for your hypervisor.
