A: For internal devices (behind a firewall), yes, you install a lightweight "SolarWinds Observability Agent" or collector. Cloud resources are monitored via API.
Q: Can I mix and match devices?
A: Yes. 1 license covers either 1 host (Server/VM) OR 1 network device. You can reallocate licenses as your infrastructure changes.
Q: Is this different from the Self-Hosted version?
A: Yes. This is the SaaS version (cloud-hosted management). You do not need to maintain a heavy Orion server yourself.
